The Maryland Teacher of the Year Program recognizes the work being done by the state's outstanding teachers. Drawing from a pool of nominees representing each county, one individual teacher is selected for the honor of representing Maryland in the National Teacher of the Year competition.

For eligibility and nomination process information, please review the Prince George's County 2013 TOTY Brochure. Please be sure to include all four sections in your nomination notebook. Download the TOTY Application Brochure and Application Form to fill out and include as Section 1 in your packet. Local and State Teachers of the Year receive credits from MSDE.

IMPORTANT! As part of the Maryland Teacher of the Year criteria, all nominees should be planning on remaining as a classroom teacher in their nominating school site for the duration of the 2013-2014 school year.
