When it snows this winter, be on the lookout for Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) student artwork on the front of the snow plow. For the sixth year, the PGCPS Division of Supporting Services has sponsored the 2012 Snow Plow Mural Artwork Contest as an additional opportunity for middle and high school students to tap into their creative talents and have their finished artwork highlighted countywide.
This year, 17 schools accepted the challenge to create snow plow murals – the highest number of schools to take part in the competition to date. A panel of PGCPS staff judges evaluated and rated the final plows, and 1st and 2nd Place winners were selected in both middle and high school categories.
