The return of the school year is looming for thousands of students in Prince George's County. To help those students and their parents get ready for the new school year, the Prince George's County Public School system will hold its first Back-to-School Fair on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event takes place at the Showplace Arena at 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue in Upper Marlboro.

Admission is free and interpreters will be available. Attendees will be able to meet with county school officials and county agencies during the event. There will be opportunities to buy school supplies and register for the local Parent Teacher Association.
