A proposed casino in Prince George’s County could be operated by the same firm that runs the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, a source close to the negotiations said Thursday.

Milt Peterson, developer of the waterfront National Harbor complex in Oxon Hill, and a top executive from MGM met with House Speaker Michael E. Busch (D-Dist. 30) of Annapolis on Wednesday, and are expected to meet with Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) and Senate President Thomas Mike Miller Jr. (D-Dist. 27) of Chesapeake Beach on Friday, the source said.

No official announcement would be made before the meetings, the source said.
