After years of effort, officials in the Prince George’s County town of North Brentwood are embarking on a fundraising drive for an African American history museum.
North Brentwood officials hope to raise $20 million to establish the Prince George’s African American Museum & Cultural Center as a destination tourism attraction, The Gazette reported. An opening is tentatively planned for 2016.
