Rogers Heights Elementary School prekindergarten teacher Sharon Dudley is inspiring students and staff. Dudley is blind. She teaches reading, writing, letter recognition and more to two classes, a total of 40 students daily.
Principal Barbara Bottoms described her as driven and nurturing.
“Her story should inspire all to know that there are no excuses; you can do anything that you put your mind to,” Bottoms said. “Being visually-impaired, Sharon has a better connection with our students as they interact with one another through the sense of touch.”
